Volunteer at Staunton Pride!
We Need Volunteers for Staunton Pride! Saturday, October 17, 2026. We could use some helping hands before, during, and after Staunton Pride at Gypsy Hill Park on Oct. 17. Sign up using the button.
There will also be a meet and greet with Rev. Gail at Emmanuel Church in the downstairs Fellowship Hall from 10am-11am. If you can't make it to the meet and greet, Gail will also be at the Pride Festival. Please stop by and say hello!

Join us immediately following the morning service on All Saints Sunday for fellowship and a delicious meal! Proceeds go to the Rector's Discretionary Fund, providing vital assistance to neighbors within our community.

Emmanuel Welcomes
The Rev. Gail Goldsmith!
We are thrilled to announce that our church has officially called The Rev. Gail Goldsmith! She will begin her ministry with our congregation on All Saints’ Sunday! (November 1)
We are deeply grateful for Rev. Gail's decision and are excited to welcome her to our parish family. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the diocesan staff for their guidance and support throughout this process.
This joyful milestone is the result of the extraordinary dedication of our Search Committee. Over the past eight months, these seven members poured immense time, prayer, and thoughtful discernment into seeking our next leader.
Pride festival is Oct 17! Rev Gail will be with us at 10:00 at Emmanuel for a quick meet'n'greet and then be attending Pride Festival at the park from 12-5 if you want to meet her there! Come help out at the booth!
Composting in Staunton
Staunton is making composting easier than ever. As of September, the Staunton Recycling Center is collecting compostable material from your kitchen. Compostable material includes plate scapings, moldy cheese, coffee grounds, fruit and vegetable peels and pits, eggshells, seafood shells, nut shells, and bones. A foolproof rule of thumb is, "If it grows, it goes!" In addition, certified compostable tableware, such as the cups, plates and cutlery Emmanuel uses at coffee hour, are also ok. The Recycling Center is located at 1911 Craigmont Road. You may drop off material anytime the Recycling Center is open: Monday and Tuesday, 9-2:45; Thursday 9-6:45; Friday 9-2:45 and Saturday 9-1:45.
Advent Wreath Making Workshop
Respond by October 15 if you are interested in attending!
The Parish Life Committee is hosting an Advent Wreath Making Workshop and needs to get an idea of how many people are interested in attending so Bev can place an order for wreath forms, candle holders, and candles.
The anticipated cost is between$20.00 - $28.00 per wreath. Please contact Barbara Damico for more details.
