Joining Our Church

Above all, as a child of God, you are welcome to join us. Our church is part of the community and the world. You may join in prayer, in worship, as a member of a group activity, or by coming to our Winter Farmers Market and other public events.

Almost all the benefits of life at Emmanuel can be enjoyed just by showing up. You can add your name to the church directory, volunteer, and receive our communications. 

 

Becoming an official member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church is quite easy and it opens the possibilities for involvement a little wider (e.g., being a Vestry member or a Eucharistic Minister). If you are already a member of another Episcopal Church, you may have your membership transferred, or you may be confirmed or received by the bishop of our Diocese of Southwestern Virginia when he next visits here. Speak to the Rector and he can help you understand the process.
